Safety Insurance Company

Listed below are special discounts and policy features that Safety is planning for April 1, 2008. These may not yet be approved by the Massachusetts Department of Insurance and are subject to change. Check back for updates.

Account credit - 20% Safety home insurance discount to Safety auto insurance clients
Account credit - 10% on auto policy to Safety home insurance clients
Good student discount 10%
Student away at school discount 10%
Excellent drivers will see their credits increased (Step 98 driver credit from 7% to 15%; Step 99 drivers from 17% to 25%)
Discounted surcharges for drivers with 1 – 3 surcharge points
Loyalty renewal credit for existing Safety customers
Credit for graduates of advanced driver training course.
Auto Loan and Lease Gap coverage options

Safety Shield coverage option includes:

Disappearing deductible for claim free drivers
Replacement cost coverage for newer cars (as defined by policy language)
Extended rental reimbursement and towing coverage
Some personal effects coverage
Emergency Road Travel Expenses
Loss of income coverage for rental reimbursement

Hanover Insurance Company

Account credit - 15% Hanover home insurance discount to Hanover auto insurance clients
Account credit – up to 19% Hanover auto insurance discount to Hanover rental, condominium or homeowner clients
Accident forgiveness – Hanover will forgive one accident every 3 years
Driver Experience Period reduced from 6 years to 3 years – Hanover clients will not receive surcharges for accidents and violations occurring more than 3 years ago.
10% Credit for graduates of advanced driver training course. Credit applied for 5 years from date of class.
Auto Loan and Lease Gap coverage options
Replacement cost coverage for newer cars (as defined by policy language)
Disappearing deductible - automatically reduces collision deductible by $100 for every year without an at fault accident, subject to minimum ($1000 deductible can be reduced as low as $500; $500 deductible can be reduced as low as $100)
Educators Advantage – for school employees (teachers, administrators, support staff) comprehensive deductible is reduced to $25 if the loss occurs on school property
